Supremacy fantasy box

Star Trek: Supremacy is a 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate) turn-based strategy game set in the Star Trek universe. In this unofficial, spiritual successor to the 1998 Microprose title Star Trek: Birth of the Federation, gameplay will focus on empire building, colonization, diplomatic interaction with alien species, research of new technologies, and fleet combat.

In Star Trek: Supremacy, players may take control of the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union, or the Dominion. They may explore the galaxy, colonize new worlds, establish diplomatic contact with other empires and minor races, research new technologies, forge alliances, declare war, subjugate other civilizations, and more. Both single-player and multiplayer games are supported.

Exploration
Explore
  • Your continuing mission... to explore strange new worlds... to seek out new life and new civilizations... to boldly go where no one has gone before.

  • Space is vast. There are treasures out there to make your exploration a bit easier... but there are terrors that will require every ounce of strength you can muster to defeat.

  • You will be put in charge of developing a major power in the galaxy. Where to go, where to station your starships and defenses. Your job is to expand. Go as far as you possibly can. Explore the unknown, resist oppression at all costs, and ensure your survival.

Development
    Develop
  • You're In Control. That means you can develop whatever you want... whenever you want. Each colony builds structures to benefit your expansion and starships to help you protect the border.

  • Tired of Micro Managing... No problem... With just one click your Colony governor will take over all development. They will produce what you need based on the state of your expansion.

Intelligence
    Intel
  • One of your main jobs is to make sure that no one can sabotage your structures or starships. This is very important as hundreds of races will be keeping an eye on every move you make... So make sure you do the same.

  • As head of security, use your intelligence assets to manage your entire spy network. You can increase security at home to root out all spies, or you can boost your external network to find out what your adversaries are up to. If you notice an imminent threat, you can quickly respond by sabotaging the enemy.

Research
    Research
  • As you start out... one of the key areas you must focus on is your research. Through this you can build bigger and better starships to meet the enemy. You also have to focus on developing better agriculture, manufacturing and energy technology to meet the growing needs of your citizens.

  • You can end up the major power in the quadrant... having an armada of the strongest and fastest starships throughout known space, ready to do your bidding.

Diplomacy
    Diplomacy
  • Do you need allies? Do you have a war to fight but need some help? Well then, head over to Diplomacy and start making powerful allies.
Through this feature you will be able to make non aggression treaties, trading agreements, military alliances and declarations of war.

  • You're going to need all the help you can get when fighting multiple enemies... so if needed you can trade Dilithium, Deuterium or Duranium.

Combat
    Combat
  • Eventually you're going to come across races that are not too friendly. The Klingons, the Romulans, etc., they all may try to test your resolve. They will test your mettle and see if you can hold your own. Will you be able to lead your starships into victory... or will your defenses crumble and your people get conquered.

  • You will be in charge of the fleet...commanding dozens to hundreds of starships against enemies that may outnumber you. You must use various tactics and skills to defeat them.

  • Be sure to develop your skills...as there are mysteries and terrors that will challenge your very existence.

Map Edit
    Diplomacy
  • At some point, you'll want to create your own maps, to play custom scenarios
like a Star Trek canon galaxy.

  • The Map Editor allows you to do just that, with options to control every single aspect of creating star systems and their planets, as well as galactic phenomena.

Federation
Federation

United Federation of Planets

Greetings from the United Federation of Planets.

We come in peace, in the hope of an informative exchange of cultural and scientific knowledge.

We look forward to diplomatic contact with your people.

The United Federation of Planets is a coalition of worlds bound by a mutual desire for peace, the pursuit of scientific understanding, and trade.

By far, however, the most numerous of the Federation races is one of the founding members, the Humans of Sol.

The people of the Federation live in a society based on the values of liberty and equality.

Their strength lies in extremely effective research, which grants them fast access to new technologies.

Their high-quality products come at the expense of high resource costs, however.

Because of their moral convictions, they quickly show weaknesses in the field of espionage, but they make up for this with impressive, well-rounded starships, which function as well individually as in groups.

Federation starships are equally likely to be seen conducting trade, exploration, humanitarian, and diplomatic missions, as they are to be seen conducting military patrols and combat manoeuvres.

Klingon
Klingon

Klingon Empire

Greetings from the Klingon Empire!

We are a race of warriors, and if you do not wish us to prove it to you, we advise you to stay out of our way. The Klingons are some of the most feared warriors in the galaxy.

Their quest for glory and honour in battle makes them masters in the field of combat; be it in ground or space-based combat, their weapons arm quickly and strike hard.

Some of their warships possess cloaking devices, with which the Klingons strike from the shadows at their prey.

Their vigorous industrial forges process countless masses of raw materials, keeping their resource-hungry war machine running, whilst gigantic hunting parties guarantee the population's food supply.

However, all things that do not directly serve battle are of lower importance to them and thus are less effective.

The Klingons consider espionage a cowardly and dishonourable act, but are willing to defend themselves through internal security as necessary.

Romulan
Romulan

Romulan Star Empire

Greetings from the Romulan Star Empire.

While we do not object to occasional diplomacy and commerce, we prefer to mind our own affairs. If you honour this desire, we will remain amicable neighbours. To outsiders, the Romulans are an enigmatic race. To the Romulans, however, other races have hardly any mystery left, for their talented intelligence agency, the Tal Shiar, has solved each of those mysteries.

Romulan interests are protected by a veil of secrecy and covertness, just as their starships are hidden from prying eyes by powerful cloaking technologies. Their starships move undetected in groups until they are close to their unsuspecting victim, before decloaking and destroying their target in the ambush.

Reports on Romulan society show it functions on exceptional research achievements. The basic supply of energy and food for the populace is sufficient to meet day-to-day needs, and is rigorously regulated to be resource-saving, as are their fleet maintenance costs; Romulan fleets expect to decimate the enemy before they have any chance at mounting a defence.

There is therefore little need to equip their vessels with expensive armour plating. This should not be seen as a weakness however; Romulan starships are known equally for their manoeuverability and heavy weapons, and for their ability to disappear at will.

Cardassian
Cardassian

Greetings from the

Cardassian Union

We look forward to diplomatic contact with your people. In the meantime, however, we insist that you avoid our space and recognize our territorial sovereignty.

The Cardassians use any means necessary to ensure the absolute loyalty of their subjects. A national indoctrination, mixed with effective control methods, promotes an unconditional belief in the Cardassian systems and work ethics, which results in exceptional industrial and mining capacity.

These state-promoted plants clearly work far more effectively than their food and energy installations however, and their research advances at a slow rate. Their intelligence services, the Obsidian Order, are also very efficient, and are considered to be as dangerous as their military, both in the acts of espionage and sabotage.

Cardassian starships continue the principle of community-controlled actions in space. Individually not very efficient, they are developed to attack in tight formations.

Ferengi
Ferengi

Ferengi Alliance

Greetings!

I'm sure I can line your pockets with Latinum, if you give me the chance! And a percentage.

The Ferengi are a race of hucksters, living for material wealth and possessions, and the constant desire to acquire more by any means necessary. Their traders can be found across most of the known galaxy, and their trading fleet is an unparalleled economic force.

But the Ferengi cannot be trusted, and it will be difficult to maintain political links without a financial incentive to keep their interest. The potential boon to our economy that Ferengi membership would bring cannot be overstated, however.

Dominion
Dominion

Dominion

I bring you greetings from the Founders of the Dominion.

I'm sure we can come to some arrangement that would suit everyone's best interest through thorough diplomacy and lucrative trade. If not, we can always get you acquainted with the Jem'Hadar.

The Founders, also known as "Changelings" to outsiders, see themselves as the legitimate power that will bring the chaotic universe to order and control it with themselves at the top of their new hierarchical system. For this purpose, the Founders routinely genetically re-engineer races to perform particular roles within their Dominion. These races include the mighty Jem'Hadar, perfect soldiers who are controlled by psychotropically addictive drugs that only the Founders know how to make; and the Vorta, the "face and voice" of the Founders, their diplomats, and the race that permits the Jem'Hadar access to Ketracel-White supplies in exchange for their loyalty.

The Dominion regularly use their superior genetic manipulation techniques to "improve" all the races under their control, and this policy has allowed them to make astonishing achievements in many areas, including construction, mining, and energy production. The many races under the Dominion now worship the Founders as near-mythical gods, although the Founders themselves rarely leave the homeworld. The shapeshifting abilities of the Founders are very useful in gathering intelligence and performing acts of sabotage, whilst the excellent Jem'Hadar starships and troops carry their will to the far reaches of the galaxy.

Borg
Borg

Borg Collective

We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

The Borg are a pseudo-species of cybernetic beings, or cyborgs, from the Delta Quadrant. No single individual truly exists within the Borg Collective, as all Borg are linked into a hive mind which connects all of them and allows information from every drone who has been brought into the collective to be shared.

Their ultimate goal is the attainment of 'perfection' through the forcible assimilation of diverse sentient species, technologies, and knowledge which is added and absorbed into the hive mind.

As a result, the Borg are among the most powerful and feared entities in the galaxy, without really being a true species at all.
